homophobia, high school, middle school, elementary school, bullying
Tara: Going back to, uh, middle school and elementary school, what were those schools like for you?
Dale: They were a little bit more accepting, I think. High school, it’s a little bit harder to, I find, to be accepting of, because kids become a lot more confident, and that means that bullies become a lot more confident, and it’s harder when it comes to homophobia. It is stronger as you go up through the grades, but it’s been an overall welcoming feel, I guess.
