Karleen: I would say, probably the hardest uh, go we had of it was with our 17 year old. Who, it seemed like, had to be in charge of the social justice work at her elementary school, and then middle school, and then high school, you know? And like, I’d say maybe the first three or four years it wasn’t a big issue. And then by the time Grade Four, um, people were outwardly saying a lot of homophobic things, especially if they knew she had two moms. And, she pretty much ran her own campaign, and um, educated the teachers. [chuckles]
