Tara: I’m wondering if we could start off with telling us how you met as teenagers in Toronto, cuz you’ve known each other for a while now.
Jae : Yes, yes.
Daya: Uh-hmm.
Jae: Do you want to go first?
Daya: Um, ok. So I had a friend from elementary school and we had reconnected and um, they were coming over to my house and they asked me if they could bring another friend with them. And so, I said “yes” and that was Jae (laughs)! And so--
Jae: Yeah. And this was on the island.
Daya: Yeah, so--
Tara: They came to visit you here on the island?
Jae: Yeah! This is when you lived here.
Daya: Yeah! Yup.
Jae: And, on the island--
Daya: Yes.
Jae: Before the house got renovated. And um--
Daya: Yeah, so that’s how we met (laughs).
Jae: Yeah. That’s how we met. In 2010.
Tara: In 2010!
Jae: (laughs).
Tara: Thank-you! And did you go to the same school?
Jae: Ye—no, actually (looks at Daya).
Daya: Not here.
Jae: Not here, not Toronto.
